HELLLLLLLLLO people!

I apologize if it took a long time for me to blog because my bed is so freaking attractive every time I sits my fat ass down on the chair and look at a blank blogger post page trying to squeeze the every last bit of my brain juice my exhausted body is seduced to the Smelly Place of Blissful Dreams (well, smelly because I don't switch on air con and I close windows and doors because the traffic is damn noisy and I want to save energy bwahaha).

Oh yes, support Earth Hour yo! (invokes the Environmentalist within! FOR MOTHER EARTH!)

Let's do our part to prevent the polar ice from melting even further!

So the March Common Tests are creeping up. Another checkpoint for assessment they say, and people tremble, ran back to their notes for protection against the demonic attacks of near impossible Chemistry questions.

So I'll for once, convert myself into a full fledged mugger this week to catch up what I have not known or yet understand since 23874234 million years ago because I've been lazy and not doing my tutorials (regret, regret!) and playing Tap Tap Revenge 2 or Zynga Live Poker in class.

BTW, Tap Tap Revenge 2 is very fun! (iPhone application)

Difficulty wise however, o2jam is definitely much harder because of the 6 keys but heck, I just need some entertainment on bus to kill some time (I refuse to read about Malaysian politics in Today newspaper anymore, it's getting to ridiculous and childish).

Oh yeah, talking about reading right here are some cool stuff I uncovered from Economist.com:

Fuel made from coffee may be cheaper than soya fuel (HELL YEAH)

Your future buildings might rotate

Solar Power from Balloons

Haha ok hope that helps in your GP.

The previous week had been a tiring week ever since Talent Time preparation stacked up with SYF practice plus sports heats. It was murder, physical murder.

Completed Surf n Sweat with my partner Dan Dan few weeks ago and we won 2nd prize in Mixed Open category! The first prize went to this crazy NTU track guy which we underestimated because he looked quite effeminate (oops) but omg, he is LIGHTNING fast.

For those who don't know what Surf n Sweat is, it's a race whereby you have to surf 400m (I think, and it's not easy! Even PE teachers like Mr Lee looked shacked after surfing.) then run about 6km (although they scam us say 4km it seemed more like 6km).

Of course without further ado you'll guess Dan Dan did the surfing and I did the running. You are damn right. (BUT NO PRIZE HAHAHA)

And we did it in 27:59 minutes, TADAAAAAAAA!

We won for ourselves 1 Ripcurl bag each and a shirt and some Body Contours voucher and a medal :) Together with Li Meng and one more guy whom I forgot, we are going to participate in Xphysique organized by NTU!

(their website design is really like shit aesthically inferior, ok maybe 'cause my Internet Browser is Google Chrome)

Ok anyway roll back to last week: Whew, here's a breakdown what happened.

Monday - Half day so we chionged SYF practice and Talent Time practice until 8 that day.
Tuesday - 5 Km run
Wednesday - 1.5 Km run
Thursday - Steeplechase 3Km (STEEPLE IS DAMN FUN LOL!)
Friday - The onset of the demonic fever
Saturday - Talent Time Full day Rehearsals + the Real Thing
Sunday - Bike Rally 2009

And at this point of writing (Monday 9.23 AM) I have dance later hahahaha.

Upcoming events:
SYF Dance
Cross Country Nationals
Xphysique
then finally FULL FLEDGED MUGGING (UNLEASH THE GEEK SPIRIT WITHIN)

Hehe Talent Time was SUPERB. Fantastic crowd of 600 people. The choreographers' 4 weeks effort has finally paid off with Kenneth Chewchewchewchew setting the choreographer record for:

Fastest Choreographer: 3 minutes 17s worth of beats in 2 days

plus Dicky and Lutfi duo for setting the record of:

The Most Slutty Choreography so far (not to mention violent HAHAHA)

We never thought that we would come so far. I vaguely remember the little seed of Talent Time started as a 3 person item, specifically the 3 guys, DKL. (Dicky Kenneth Leon) And our virgin idea was to choreograph 3 different styles of dance incorporated into 1 item and we each solo for a seperate part of the song, with spotlight on the soloist only.

However we came to a fascinating problem. OUR STYLES CANNOT BE INCORPORATED INTO ONE SONG AT ALL. Kenneth is either too Bboyish or too Emo (hahaha), Dicky too slutty and me, being too weird.

Thus we had no choice but to do a Medley (sian right).

Kenneth's original song was Beggin' by Madcon and we actually went into the Audition with just 3 of us, with him Bboying to Beggin'.

Which was like a super nice song but he changed it to Fallin' Out by Keyshia Cole finally because no one could catch Bboy (oops abit the sucky right hahaha). After passing through the Auditions (we got alot of harsh comments from the judges though) we had to recruit dancers.

And can you believe it? Choong Lee is the one who came up with the virgin idea for the introduction for SAW. He thought of us all running down the aisle with our mask and jackets to create a chaotic kind of feel but we then modified it to what you see on that day :)

So credits to him and also Nicole who choreographed the Necromancer part on stage for SAW! ^^

We initially wanted to name our production "DKL Left Hand Rule" because our styles were so independent that well, it looks like a left hand rule but in the end we decided to name it Rojak because of its local feel and corniness :)

All in all this performance has been a great platform to actually bond with the new J1s, not forgetting that very great dinner at KFC where we laughed non stop for like I don't know, 3 hours? (WOOHOO 3 hours of "sit ups") It's really times like this that we get to know each other in a light and fun manner rather than the forced "OK LETS SIT DOWN IN 1 CIRCLE TIME TO ICE BREAK WOO" thing thing.

So, dance outing anyone? HAHAHA. (after SYF first lah hor)

Anyway at this juncture I would like to thank the following:

My bros - Kenneth and Dicky for being such great brothers in dance. Without you guys, I really don't know how my life would be like dude. GO DKL!

ODOC dancers - Thanks for putting up with me and the other choreographers if we happened to be demanding along the way. I do hope that you understand that we need to be demanding sometimes to achieve a certain standard level of entertainment :) No hard feelings and all in all, you guys rock! And for Choong Lee and Ding Xiang, you guys learn really fast. We are very proud of you! (but don't be complacent because pride comes before the fall of man)

Undefined - For being fellow contestants with us. We really enjoyed your company and you guys have displayed unique ideas that were eye openers to us. You guys really made Talent Time rehearsals a pleasant event to look forward to and your cheers were really spirit lifting. Love you guys! :)

Melodie - For having to put up with us noobs for our very first choreography to Get Low. Thank you for being patient with us because now I finally feel what you feel last time HAHAHAHA. Thank you for coming down to support!

Mum and Sis - Hehe I apologize for not inviting you all for concert last year but this time I thank you all for coming down to support! And for the flowers too ;)

Hui Min, Jo, Steven - Hello! Hahaha thanks for coming down as well it's been a long time since I've seen you all and it's good to see familiar faces again. However, I didn't get the time to catch up :( but still, thanks for the support friends!

Dancers and 2308 - YOYOYO. For dancers, now Ms Tan will have nothing else to say HAHAHHA. I hope that ODOC have brought glory to dance. For 2308, you guys coming down to support were a very good morale booster to me that day! Seriously! (esp. Elizabeth Poh, for her case you know why right haha)

Donutella - Haha! You girls also made waiting in the seminar room fun! Thanks for the company and I AM NOT WU ZONG XIAN PLEASE. Hahaha.

And thanks to all the rest who have come down to support, congratulated, hugged, gave gifts etc
- Lek Ping & Si Hui
- Fav. J1
- Cheryl and Deborah
- Sam, Dinesh and Co.
- and many more..

UPADTE: I FOUND THE VIDEO FOR THE DANCE! (no audio though lol, the best I could find) THANKS TO LEONG YI TING FOR UPLOADING THE VIDEO LOVE LOVE LOVE WHOEVER YOU ARE yeah baby I owe you one

I uploaded the finale track on Imeem btw:

Ok enough of Talent Time lol.

BIKE RALLY 2009 was damn damn fun. Wei Cheng and I covered 128km around Singapore in 7 hours and 25 minutes and the company was great, to see so many cycling enthusiasts being around us as well. (although my bike compared to their sleek few grands bike is like, noobshit)

I shall let the pictures do the talking now because I wanna conserve my brain power to learn new steps in SYF later. So here goes:

We started off at ECP at 6.30am and biked 20+km down to Labrador Park, passed by Vivocity and the Singapore Flyer. Stopped for 10 minutes to refuel and then we continued 20km down again to NTU.

Wei Cheng and his corny specs!

Wei Cheng "kope" alot of Soyjoy. Naughty boy. Next we biked down through lots of up and hills and pass Yio Chu Kang cemeteries and farms to Seletar (I think), our next check point. By then my hamstrings were burning and drowning in lactic acid and my balls hurt like I just got castrated (because the bike seat is damn thin and sharp for aerodynamic purposes)

Next we biked to one of the worst trail ever - the Mandai Road stretch, where there were 9 ups and downs omg. Can you hear my balls screaming for mercy? Reached Yishun Stadium

Wei Cheng foraging for food. AGAIN.

Next checkpoint was Serangoon:

Followed by Changi Beach:

Meet Wei Cheng the Chimpanzee, hoo hoo hoo hoo!

And home sweet home back at ECP with my balls fried and my butt cheeks dented:

Carls JR FTW.

Wei Cheng Emo

HELL YEAH. It's gonna get messy.

OK GTG!

Signing off,
Leon Ohhhhhhhhh
