Another chapter of dance unfolds in the blink of an eye.
The rigorous trainings put in day after day for every single item, the drops of sweat so concentrated with oozed out concentrated sodium chloride enough to produce 1KG of table salt, the tedious cleaning up routine of the recurrent Arithmetic Progressive sequence "1 2 3 4, 5 6 7 8,2 2 3 4 5 6 7 8...", the spasmic look on the face of dancers who unfortunately blanked out at the momentary outburst of aggression "SHOW ME WHAT'S 4" (in a bid to mimic Zaki's commonly encountered terror question), ahhh, assuredly I say to you, time flies.
Memories inundate my mind as my neurons struggle to function at their maximum capacity to recall all the steps that were so difficult to pick up (at least to me, the dance noob). Serenity shrouds me like music blasting from a surround sound system, less the sound.
A glass of cold strawberry HL milk lies at my 1 o clock. Oh wait, that's the corner 6, or is it the corner 8? Nah, it's the corner 5. (corners refers to the direction faced in ballet: http://wiki.answers.com/Q/How_are_the_walls_and_corners_labelled_in_RAD_Ballet)
I sip the milk, my goodnight staple, with full appreciation for the successful survival of today, silently preparing myself for the onslaught of tomorrow's dance practice.
Rond de jombe, Releve, Pirouette, Attitude, Demipointe, Flex Foot. The sophisticated terminology of ballet bombards my mind, an art form I never appreciated until now. (come on I used to think ballet is just some kind of easy peanut dance. I was wrong!) Okay, enough of my dance rantings, allow me to now present to you what I have managed to dig out so far (with credits to Daphne and various videographers)
